About the medical language course
The preparation course for the Fachsprachprüfung exam focuses on your language skills in order to prove that you have a certain level of German, comparable to C1. All doctors who earned their medical degree outside of Germany must complete the professional language exam. Furthermore, it is the requirement to enrol for the medical knowledge test, which needs to be passed to receive the approbation (only a requirement for anyone who earned their medical degree outside of the EU). However, if you are a non-EU citizen, you will first receive a medical licence for two years.
This course takes place online with native-level teachers who will provide you with specialist medical language training. In addition it includes self-study components to help deepen your knowledge, exam simulations to prepare for the final oral exam and the opportunity to write medical letters in cooperation with qualified doctors. You’ll also have the chance to work on case studies from a wide range of specialist areas.
